I love a bit of sparkle in my live, a touch of glamour, a diva effect on my mood. That is why I love sparkly jackets. It makes any outfit look super glam and makes you feel like a opera singer, ready to belt it out.

purchase a white sequence, looks clean with a white singlet and tones down any outfit
purchase a plain black one, turns any girl into a disco goddess
if you are a smart pirate, you will purchase one online or at a vintage store
keep your make up simple with black kohl eyes and lipstick is a must
hair up in a simple bun or messy hair down- no need for ghds

autumn/winter tip - for the grunge effect, in winter, wear the sparkles under your parka/military jacket

Dior Homme

This week I was invited to an exclusive event in the new space in Sydney for Christina Dior. It was a very intimate event classic to the Dior taste. Greeted by a line of lovely young soldier waiters upon entry.  The Store director, dressed in the most perfect figure hugging red dress showed me and my friend around while sipping Dom. I was very impressed with her dedication, passion for the house of Dior.
And the new Dior Homme cologne is to die for.

Perfume

As I live in a small sardine apartment, I do not have space for flowers. Solution, I buy lots of perfumes. Once I spray it on, I have escaped to the valley of gardenias, roses, hyacinth or bluebell.
The smell is so personal in once mind, it is a ritual to pick the next smell. This is because I am picking my next escape plan.

Cat Nap Time

Weekends = catnap in the afternoon to catch up on beauty sleep. And most of all peace & quite.

Tea.. oh yes please...

There is nothing more I look forward to on the weekend on a cold rainy weekend then a nice cup of tea. Don't forget the comfy big jumper, cute cat & sexy husband.
Tea has antioxidants which is youthful/anti aging . Half a teaspoon on honey as a treat.
Earl grey is the fave at moment.. what is yours.?

Skin

Less is more....that is what my mother said about Skincare routine. Hence why at 50 she looks 35.. When does one have time to, cleanse, tone, moisturize.. sounds so tiring.. like steps to making a Zumbo cake.. mmmm.. delish..but sugar is aging!!

apply coconut oil to face before bed
But one must feed skin from within. I also drink a tablespoon of coconut (organic from fiji) and flaxseed oil. I promise your face will be blemish free and smooth as a babies bottom...

Hall of Confidence

Last night I saw an interview with Jerry Hall and the intoxicating amount of confidence coming from the TV was overwhelming. That poor woman went through a lot from the Jagger. And her daughter Georgia is now the mini of Jerry supermodel. I have always had a little more confidence that more girls, however I would not put up with the crappy moves like the father Jagger. Or am I judging the beauty too fast, would I find the courage? What I have learnt from the Ms Jerry Hall is to always remain a lady during tough times so at the end of the day, you come out of it the better person.

The Beauty of Reading

I have always enjoyed reading. One cannot match a great fashion accessory then a fabulous book! People look the most beautiful when reading. They are relaxed, enjoying themselves and escaping from the troubles of our world. I have read many wonderful books which have taught me many things. Come on, I am sure you have read a book that you could not put down and your heart ached when the book ended. This weekend I will read my little heart away, I hope you will find some time to another world.

What are the Fashion Kidz doing these days, one can never keep up. If I had a dollar for every time some one asked me, what is chool.. what are the cool kidz doing..
In this section, I will tell you what they are doing but whether it is choool enough for you, it is up to you.

Clutch the bag for next season..better yet, why not tomorrow. Don't go and buy a new clutch bag, just hold the one you already have... and dont swing it on your shoulders, come on ladies, work those biceps..

Road Trip

On Sunday I was Thelma and my bestie was Louis... we were Thelma & Louis for one day.. Escaping our days and set on the road to mini paradise in the south coast.. Highly recommend this to any gal.. grab your gal pals and drive away.. before you drive yourself nuts off the cliff.

BUT.. one must do this in style.. a silk scarf.. and some sunglasses is a MUST! preferably a top down car.

and of course load music blasting in the backround to sing along to.. yes.. embarrassing..

Bless My Bling

Already so jealous of the new Pope that will be elected. I know that only a week in he will be working overtime with the Easter bunny and 'meets and greets' around the world. The first thing I thought was, man, he will get to play with all the fantastic jewellery! Think of this, hundreds of years in power from one of the fashion capitals of the world, gems from all over the planet and some of it older then antique. Now that is vintage. Above is some of my holy treasures. Each piece has a story, some are purchases and gifts. I know I am spoilt.
French Tiara
Antique Rosary bead jewellery box from Prague. This was the first purchase my dad bought for my mum and she gave this to ma.
Bear Earrings are from Irish and of coarse vintage! I am scared of bears so you can imagine the fright I got when I opened le Box!
The "Miroslava" necklace is tucked away and is a real "sex & the city" moment. It is fun people trying to pronounce it.
Pearls are the basics of any jewellery treasure box. Adds a bit of elegance even if you wear tongs on a saturday morning coffee run.
Chanel is a must in my world. It is like detaching a life support machine  from me!
And there is loads more in my treasure box gifts filled with memories. I know I am spoilt, but as long as I know it, it is okay!
